Systems Administrator III ( Windows )

Duties and Responsibilities:                               Maintains servers, operating OS and application patches, verifying Software is up to date with license versions, testing web access and troubleshooting any issues that arise. Supports and manages virtual servers hosted in the Charleston NEDC. Works on technical designs, plans, implementation, and performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission critical systems.                          Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for Windows 12.           Recommends the redesign and configuration of operating systems and system applications.                                    Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical host computer resources. Performs troubleshooting as required. Leads problem-solving efforts often involving outside vendors and other support personnel and/or organizations.                      Establishes, maintains and manages user's accounts.                                   Ensures that records of system downtime or other significant events are documented.    Applies revisions to host system firmware and software in accordance with IT Configuration Control Board (CCB).          Implement procedures programs and documentation for backup and restoration of host operating systems and host-based applications.                                                           Assist with project directions and schedules to maximize benefits and minimize impacts on the customer organizations. Travels to and from customer sight to support work.                             Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline (Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year for year basis.) Minimum 4 years System Administrator (Windows) experience. Possess hands-on experience with Microsoft Server 2012/2106 and the different role such as Active Directory, Files Services, DNS Server, and Web Server Possess CompTia Security + & Microsoft Server 2012 certification Experience with virtual servers and VMWare Experience updating Microsoft and other application patches and troubleshooting difficult updates that will not resolve the vulnerability Knowledge of file sharing. System administrator should know how to manage security groups and distribution groups and how to ensure that the correct permissions are given to the correct individual Knowledge on how to clone servers, spin-up new virtual servers, and add resources to a virtual server Ability to travel by car, air or other means of transportation Possess a SECRET level clearance or higher

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
