CDL A OTR Driver

SUMMARY: the primary purpose of this position is to provide Best in Class Service transporting our client's freight to and from their destination on time, safely and with a positive attitude.
1. Manage transit times in accordance with FMCSRs
2. Complies with appearance guidelines
3. Arrive on time to pick up and drop off locations safely providing Best in Class Service
4. Maintain current, valid CDL and clean driving record at all times
5. Read, understand and comply with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
6. Follow traffic signs and street signs
7. Conduct vehicle inspections as required; before, during and/or after each shift, adding fluids as needed.
8. Notifying maintenance of any concerns in respect to inspected vehicle
9. Monitor traffic conditions and avoid delays, ability to operate in dry, rain, snow and Ice
1. Must complete paperwork timely
2. Adhere to company policies and protocol
1. Must possess current CDL issued in the state of residence
2. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds by yourself occasionally
3. Must have dexterous use of both hands and legs
4. Able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, respond to official inquiries and to make entries on reports and records
5. Demonstrates flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including holidays and weekends to cover 24/7 operation
1. Must be passionate about customer service
2. 2 years driving experience preferred
3. Strong customer service and leadership skills
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
5. Excellent skills with mobile communication devices-ELD's
1. Follows all safety requirements
2. Looks for and corrects unsafe situations or actions and reports to appropriate personnel
3. Ensure vehicles meet all safety requirements; maintaining documentation of daily vehicle inspections, reports any incidents or accidents to manager on duty, dispatch and company headquarters

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
