Salary:
$110,000 - $180,000 per yearA bit about us:
As a Permanent Cal Trans Construction Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of innovative construction projects.
You will be responsible for managing the planning, design, and execution of construction projects while ensuring compliance with Cal Trans standards and Department of Transportation regulations.
This role is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring an individual who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and make critical decisions under pressure.
This position requires the ability to travel as needed to various project sites, meetings, and trainings.
IMPORTANT:
This role is not remote but they will relocate from anywhere in the country.

1.
Oversee all stages of project life cycle, including conception, design, construction, and completion.
2.
Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget.
3.
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
4.
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
5.
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
6.
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
7.
Report and escalate to management as needed.
8.
Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
9.
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
10.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
11.
Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
12.
Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels.
13.
Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency.
14.
Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs.
Job Details
Qualifications:
1.
(Nice to have) Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
2.
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager, preferably with Cal Trans or the Department of Transportation.
3.
Proven working experience in project management in the construction sector.
4.
Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in construction and web technologies.
5.
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
6.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7.
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
8.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.
9.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
10.
Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
11.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
12.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure.
