THIS IS A HYBRID POSITION Job SummaryAs a Software Documentation Specialist, you will prepare, manage, and monitor the development, maintenance, and updating of software documentation related to complex specialized software applications developed and used by the US Navy.
This includes, but is not limited to, software user documentation, system administrator guides, installation and upgrade instructions, training materials, and development documentation such as test plans and requirements documents.
You will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle to capture key technical requirements and inform proper documentation You will demonstrate superior level technical writing and production mastery for development and deployment of final documentation.
You will work with SME's and flush out key information to be documented and provide technical editing of SME generated information.
Strong ability to format, edit and manipulate documentation across a variety of software program such as Adobe, MS Word, PowerPoint, Captivate, Annotate and others will be required.

Responsibilities Develop and maintain software documentation IAW appropriate US Navy style guides and documentation standards Work with SMEs and development teams to capture and document system requirements and develop test plans and installation documents Conduct up-front analysis, develops formal use cases, and develops task-based documentation.
Develop documentation plans and manage related tasks in project management scheduling software.
Write, edit, and manage design & technical notes for our development team Attend product planning and development meetings Coordinate with software developers, project managers, engineers to create and update product documentation Coordinate reviews, implement comments, facilitate discussion among stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, and secures approval of final documents.
Basic Qualifications Associated Degree in English, Marketing, Business or related and 6
years of directly related experience OR Bachelor's Degree in English, Marketing, Business or related and 4
years of directly related experience OR Master's Degree in in English, Marketing, Business or related and 2
years of directly related experience Documented experience (to meet above requirement) in technical writing to support software documentation including Software Engineering Documents (requirements, design, test, technical, user guides, & release notes) based on end-customer requirements for product understanding and usage Requires strong technical/proposal writing leadership skills Requires strong organizational and time management skills Expert skills with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, Gmail, Google Docs, and SharePoint.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
